“Indulge in the Golden Crunch: A Bite of Crispy Bliss!”
Ingredients:
- 1 cup urad dal (black gram lentils), soaked for 4-6 hours
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 inch piece of ginger, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- A handful of chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
- Drain the soaked urad dal and rinse it well. Place it in a blender or food processor along with a little water and grind it to a smooth paste. Avoid adding too much water; the batter should be thick.
- Transfer the ground dal paste into a mixing bowl. Add chopped green chilies, ginger, onion, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai over medium heat.
- Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking, then take a small portion of the batter and shape it into a round disc, then gently flatten it with your fingers. Make a small hole in the center of each disc using your thumb.
- Carefully slide the shaped vadas into the hot oil, one by one, and fry them in batches. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once they are golden and crisp, remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the Golden Crunch Bites hot with coconut chutney, sambar, or your favorite dipping sauce.
