- 500g button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground (adjust to taste)

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste

- Preparation:
- Clean and slice the mushrooms.
- Thinly slice the onions, bell peppers, and green chilies.
- Mince the garlic and ginger.
- Cooking:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until they start to splutter.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onions and green chilies. Cook until the onions are translucent and slightly caramelized.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

- Add the garam masala and give it a final stir. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
